About The Yogis of Tibet: A Film for Posterity
The Yogis of Tibet: A Film for Posterity (2002), directed by Jeffrey M. Pill, is an unprecedented
documentary that delves into the details of advanced Tibetan Buddhist yogis and their secret
practices. Hailed by Snow Lion Publications as “the first film to explore this unique subject
matter in such depth,” The Yogis of Tibet often takes unprecedented risks in interviewing yogis
who have traditionally sworn not to reveal details about their physical and mental exercises.
Pema Thinley, editor of the Tibetan Review, praises the film as “spectacular” with “yogic
exercise footage never seen before and not likely to be seen elsewhere again.” Featuring
interviews with a number of realized masters from the Drikung-Kagyu lineage, as well as His
Holiness, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, this film will educate and likely inspire those with an interest
in esoteric Buddhist practice. Running time: 1 hour, 17 minutes.
